A famous landmark and longstanding tourist destination, the Laurel & Hardy Museum, approached us to re-design and develop their new website.
Our focus was on keeping the site visually clean, whilst maintaining an element of fun and information. As most traffic to the site comes from mobile, a particular emphasis was placed on having a layout which was easy to navigate on a mobile or tablet.
A fun museum and a fun project to work on.
Based in Kendal, Cumbria, Metroplan are one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of office equipment. With a wide ranging customer base in the UK and overseas, it was crucial that the website could deliver an easy to navigate user experience, with clear calls to action, and routes to cart.
The site is developed on the Magento framework, and Make Us Visible worked extensively to deliver a customised product page layout, mega-menus and category views.
Our client Cartmel Cheese, required a website to showcase their prestigious collection of artisan cheese. The business is well established in the sector, but was not presenting products for online sale as effectively as their South Lakes based shop.
The team worked with Cartmel Cheese to understand the customer based and product selection. From this a navigation structure was developed, which allows the user to choose key attributes to take them to the most relevant product quickly.
The team also worked on an appropriate colour pallet, which was used to develop further areas of interest through the site, and to develop a very user friendly checkout process.
